Lauderdale Road is in the heart of Maida Vale, and a few minutes walk from London's famous Warwick Avenue and Little Venice area, with its canals, large white stucco villas, barges, puppet theatre, floating art gallery, and waterside cafe.
From here you can walk or take a boat along the canal to Regent's Park, London Zoo, and Camden Lock market.
Every year Little Venice Pool (formed by the intersection of the Regent's Canal and the Grand Union Canal) hosts the Canalway Cavalcade festival, probably the largest regular gathering of English canal boats in one location.
