Get to West End in 15 minutes

Residents of Lauderdale Mansions can get from their doorstep to the West End of London in as little 15 minutes thanks to fast public transport links. Meanwhile, proximity to the A40 Westway flyover, means you can also drive out of London in next to no time.

Tubes and trains
The closest underground stations to Lauderdale Road are Maida Vale (3 minutes walk) and Warwick Avenue (5 minutes walk). Both are on the Bakerloo line.

Trains run every 2-3 minutes in rush hour, and 3-5 minutes outside of peak times. You nearly always get a seat, even in the rush hour.

Journey times from Warwick Avenue station are approximately 6 minutes to Baker Street, and 10 minutes to Oxford Circus and the West End. (For the City, change at Paddington, Baker Street or Oxford Circus. For Canary Wharf change at Baker Street.)

The nearest mainline train station is Paddington (one stop on the Bakerloo line, or 10 minutes walk from Lauderdale Road). From Paddington, First Great Western trains service the west and south west of England, and Wales.

The Bakerloo, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines connect to the other mainline London terminus rail stations.

Buses
Lauderdale Mansions is very close to bus routes to Paddington, Marble Arch and the West End. The typical bus journey time from the nearest bus stop to Marble Arch and Oxford Street is 11 minutes.

Other bus routes go direct to St John's Wood, Swiss Cottage, Hampstead, Lancaster Gate, and Notting Hill.

Airports
For London's Heathrow Airport, take the underground to Paddington station (one stop on the Bakerloo line from Warwick Avenue) from where it is 15 minutes by the Heathrow Express high-speed rail link. By car, Heathrow is about 45-50 minutes outside of peak hours.

For Gatwick airport, take the underground to Victoria mainline rail station, and then the Gatwick Express rail link. For Stansted airport take the underground to Liverpool Street, and then the Stansted Express rail link.

Driving out of town
By car Lauderdale Road is two minutes from the A40 Westway flyover which takes you straight out of London along the M40. Outside of peak hours, the M25/M40 interchange is about 20 minutes, and Oxford can be reached in about an hour.
